The first theme of Caféin is Eindhoven Energy Neutral! with targets the citizens of Eindhoven and focus on the first steps towards an energy neutral Eindhoven in 2045.

The city of Eindhoven wants to be an energy-neutral city in 2045. The City Council has expressed this in the approved climate Implementation Program 2009 – 2012.. This means that all energy that is used within the local community is generated in a sustainable manner within its municipal boundaries. This can only happen if everyone in Eindhoven, citizens, businesses and institutions contribute directly.
