NetArt 4×4x4

  • Mario van Horrik and Petra Dubach: Anonieme Serenade.
  • Paul Panhuysen: Calcuco.
  • Guus Koenraads: without title
  • Frans Franssen: Traveller’s Joy.

The NetArt project 4×4x4 arose in 4 months, in which the 4 artists worked 1 month each to create 4 NetArt productions. Aforementioned artists collaborated with web designers (Thomas Noordzij and RenĂ© ParĂ©) to create an experimental work in a short period of time on the internet proceeding from the originality of the artist. A criterion was that the artists were quite new to internet, but willing to combine their creations with it. The laboratory of MAD is the workshop in which the productions (mostly in Flash) were realized.

De Pijp

In 2000 the artists Tom Veeger and Alexander Baervoets were asked by the city of Amsterdam, district-council Oud Zuid to create an internet installation for De Pijp neighbourhood.

On the base of synergy and creativity, MAD was invited to cooperate. The internet project was build in the MADlab based op on the artistic concepts of and using the base materials of the artists. The result is an interactive, literary expressive representation of the dynamic neighbourhood De Pijp.
