The Course New Media and Arts Education for teachers Centers for the Arts has been developed by MAD. Currently the coarse is being given to several institutes.
The potential of the internet and digital media are endless. One can take advantage of them in the development and implementation of arts education programs. For an efficient and effective use of these media knowledge and practical experience are essential.
The first theme of Caféin is Eindhoven Energy Neutral! with targets the citizens of Eindhoven and focus on the first steps towards an energy neutral Eindhoven in 2045.
The city of Eindhoven wants to be an energy-neutral city in 2045. The City Council has expressed this in the approved climate Implementation Program 2009 – 2012.. This means that all energy that is used within the local community is generated in a sustainable manner within its municipal boundaries. This can only happen if everyone in Eindhoven, citizens, businesses and institutions contribute directly.

In July this workshop was held in the Abbemuseum for children age 8-12. The workshop was about animated dance.
Anticipating on the growing quantity of technology and products which relate to the ‘Ambient Intelligence’ concept (AKA distress homes, Ubiquitous Computing), its many artists, designer and architects are curious forr what that could mean to them. This workshop gave a unique update of the state of the art. Artists: Eolwin van der Heide, Elmo Diederiks, Alex Vermeulen.
For artist and students at the CKV an series of workshops was organized at 19 till 22 october 2004. An introduction to diverse types of media usage, by artists, is the red thread. For artists an program is put together with there own work as a template. For CKV students an introduction with internet-art is being held on account of the CKV-week (www.cspe.nl). To discover the possibilities and to trace the origin is the core activity.
On 1 october 1999 a varied program took place with installations, performances, workshops, cybercafé, multiplayer games and demonstrations.
Theater Het Klein and Impuls presented SPIN: a short moving composition with realtime animation.
Nicole and Marc Maurer presented Duck Loop Jr.: an interactive installation.
Leo Bakx/stichting Impuls shows Engines of Creation: a confrontation between creation story’s and science; an installation.
Showcase Multimedia: demonstrations of exemplary electronic art CD-ROMs.
